We do more than just mathematics! We began specializing in mathematical typesetting with a proprietary UNIX system 34 years ago, and over the years have expanded our services to encompass a wide range of capabilities including STM and trade.
Please take a moment to review our services:
- Capabilities—We offer full-service production including contact with authors, scheduling, copyediting, proofreading, design, indexing, and of course, typesetting.
- Diversity—Our expertise ranges from typesetting basic trade to complex teaching and mathematical/scientific books. We do not limit ourselves to one genre but can offer a wide range of capabilities without compromising service and quality.
- Staff—Our typesetters, designers, systems, and computer engineers are all in-house. We use no off-shore or "cloud" based services. We treat each book as a personal project.
Thirty-four years ago our proprietary UNIX-based system defined the state of the art
in mathematics composition. Today we work with a host of software and technologies on multiple platforms to provide the tools that most specifically advance your project.
- Quality—We typeset each book one page at a time. A person—not a software program—balances pages and adjusts hyphenation. We do not accept orphans/widows/unbalanced pages, etc.
- Customer Service—Our service record is impeccable. We pride ourselves in always responding swiftly with responses, corrections, inputs, etc. You will not need to wait a day or two because of time zones for answers!
- Schedules—We pride ourselves in always being ahead of schedule. We accept no delays or excuses on our part!
- Price—We always work within the publisher’s cost parameters. We also offer volume discounts. We can and are competing with offshore’s price structures.
- Programs/Output—We choose a program specifically advantageous for the project. We employ InDesign, Quark, Framemaker, TeX/LaTeX, Pagemaker, and our custom designed UNIX-based system. We can provide PDF, E-pub, MOBI, XML, etc., output.
